“Gatsby”

This boy is very special to us. Gatsby finished at 10 months of age with 2 5 point majors and a major from going Best of Breed from the classes over a special to finish his championship. That same day, he made a nice cut in a very competitive, large regular toy group. A week later, he went on to win a Best in Show Owner Handled! At 17 months of age he won his first Specialty during the National weekend and a regular toy group first. He is growing on beautifully and we are so excited to continue watching him blossom. He has excellent heavy bone and so much glamour. We have a blast in the ring with him and look forward to seeing all that he can achieve and produce for us here at MonTai.

“Merlin”

Merlin was born and raised here at MonTai. He is one of the litter brothers to Charm and a Gatsby son. At six months old, he went on to his new adventure with his co owner, Susan Dublinsky and he came back to us temporarily at 15 months old. Sue let me take him to the PCA National in Georgia as a class dog with one point. He finished his championship there with back to back to back 5 point majors and was moved up as a special for the National. To my complete and utter shock, he won Best of Breed at the Pekingese Club of America National as a 17 month old puppy. He is a now a multiple group placing dog and has won an Owner Handled Best in Show. He is everything a Pekingese should be. Pear shaped, dense, large eyes, front heavy with great bone. He will be between his co owner and our home, until he retires from the ring to live full time with Sue. We are so grateful to have bred this beautiful dog.

“Rio”

Rio was so amazing as a puppy and the product of a breeding that we so anxiously waited for. He was born here at MonTai during the pandemic and did not get out in the ring until he was about 8 months old. He won the sweepstakes at the Pekingese Club of America National Specialty along with winning several other sweeps at the other specialties. He is well balanced, has nice bone, deep chest, is low to the ground and has the most beautiful under jaw with upturn that we are losing in this breed. At just 3 years old, he won his first all breed Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show. At 4 years old, he won his second all breed Best in Show and won Best of Breed at the Pekingese Club of America National. He is an absolute dream come true as a breeder/owner/handler.

“Kennedy”

Ken is our wild child. We are so lucky to have been entrusted with him in our breeding program by his breeders and co-owners Lori and Mark Stephen (Aslan Pekingese). He is a sound puppy with great balance and bone. His head is to die for. Large and wide and will continue spreading as he matures. He took a fat 5pt major with his breeders before coming to us and finished with two more majors. He is cousin to Drama and Extra on our “Girls” page. We look forward to see all that is to come with this boy!
